Flydubai Launches Direct Flights to Islamabad and Lahore

On July 1st, flydubai inaugurated its new direct flight services to Islamabad and Lahore, expanding its reach in Pakistan. The Dubai-based airline now offers daily flights to both cities, enhancing connectivity between the UAE and Pakistan.

The inaugural flights were greeted with a water cannon salute upon landing at Islamabad International Airport (ISB) and Allama Iqbal International Airport (LHE). Airport officials warmly welcomed the new routes, which aim to provide more travel options for passengers.

Sudhir Sreedharan, Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations (UAE, GCC, Africa, and the Indian Subcontinent) at flydubai, expressed excitement about the new services. He emphasized that the 14 weekly flights to Islamabad and Lahore will facilitate easier and more convenient travel between the two countries.

Flydubai's network in Pakistan already includes destinations like Faisalabad, Karachi, Multan, Quetta, and Sialkot. With the addition of Islamabad and Lahore, the airline continues to strengthen its presence in the region. Flydubai operates a young fleet of 88 Boeing 737 aircraft, servicing over 125 destinations across 58 countries.

The daily flights from Terminal 2, Dubai International (DXB), will cater to both business and economy class travelers. Return Business Class fares from DXB to ISB start at AED 5,500, while Economy Class fares begin at AED 1,300. Similarly, fares from DXB to LHE start at AED 5,500 for Business Class and AED 1,200 for Economy Class. The return fares from Islamabad and Lahore to Dubai are priced at PKR 400,000 for Business Class and PKR 120,000 for Economy Class.

Flight schedules for the new routes are as follows: Flight FZ 353 departs from DXB to ISB at 09:05, arriving at 13:20. The return flight, FZ 354, departs from ISB at 14:20, arriving back in Dubai at 16:50. Flight FZ 359 from DXB to LHE departs at 00:30, arriving at 04:45, with the return flight, FZ 360, departing LHE at 05:45 and arriving in Dubai at 08:15. All times are local.
