With just 100 days to go until the Paris 2024 Olympics, Eurostar is on track to provide a seamless travel experience for athletes and spectators. As of April 17, 2024, over 415,000 tickets have been sold for travel during the Olympic period, demonstrating the rail service’s pivotal role in this international event.

Eurostar has already confirmed the transport of over 2,000 athletes from Team GB, Team Belgium, Team Netherlands, and Team Germany, gearing up for an influx of two million travelers in total from July to September. This logistical feat highlights Eurostar's commitment to supporting the Olympics and Paralympics with enhanced services.

The rail service is set to increase the number of trains between London and Paris and will add extra staff at stations to help manage the anticipated surge. A unique addition to their customer service initiative is the inclusion of volunteer 'Games Makers' from within Eurostar, drawing inspiration from previous Olympic support roles to enhance traveler experience on peak days.

The launch of Breaking as a new Olympic sport brings additional excitement, with Team GB’s athletes, including Adam Burgess and B-Boy Kid Karam, making appearances at St Pancras International to discuss their aspirations and the novel nature of their sport.

Eurostar's commitment to sustainability is also noteworthy, as it continues to promote green travel initiatives. With trains that boast a 95% lower carbon footprint compared to flying, Eurostar aligns with the sustainability goals of the Paris 2024, aiming to host the greenest games in history.

Gwendoline Cazenave, CEO of Eurostar, emphasized the company's readiness to offer memorable experiences during the Olympics, not just through logistics but also by fostering a spirit of celebration and achievement among all travelers.
