Edelweiss Air is expanding its winter services to Finland and Norway, enriching travel options to the enchanting Arctic regions. Following last year's successful launch, the Swiss airline has extended the operational season for its Finnish Lapland routes and introduced new destinations, promising more accessibility to these winter wonderlands in the 2024/2025 timetable.

This season, the charming towns of Kuusamo and Ivalo will welcome Edelweiss's flights from mid-December to March, with Kuusamo served every Friday and Ivalo on Tuesdays and Fridays. The expansion reflects increasing interest in the unique winter experiences that Finnish Lapland offers, from the mesmerizing Northern Lights to its famed reindeer safaris.

In a first, Edelweiss will also connect travelers to Kittilä and Rovaniemi, enhancing the magic of Christmas with direct access to Santa Claus Village and the surrounding pristine snowy landscapes. Flights to these iconic destinations will operate twice weekly, ensuring flexible travel plans for holiday seekers.

Moreover, Edelweiss is not just limiting its expansions to Finland. The airline has announced scheduled winter flights to Evenes, Norway, gateway to the spectacular Lofoten Islands. Known for their dramatic peaks and cozy fishing villages, the Lofoten archipelago offers a serene escape, with weekly flights scheduled from mid-December through March.

Travel enthusiasts and nature lovers can explore not only Lofoten but also the lesser-known but equally stunning Vesterålen islands and the adventurous northern town of Narvik, providing a full Nordic experience from a single entry point.

With this enhanced flight schedule, Edelweiss now presents a compelling portfolio of six northern Scandinavian destinations, including Tromsø, further enabling travelers to customize their Arctic adventures. Starting May 9, 2024, these expanded services will be available for booking across all channels, inviting explorers to witness the unparalleled beauty of the Arctic in utmost convenience. This initiative is poised to boost winter tourism in Scandinavia, offering travelers new ways to experience its magical winters.
