easyJet Expands Routes from Nantes with New Summer Destinations in 2025
In the summer 2025 season, the airline easyJet plans to expand its operations from Nantes Atlantique Airport in western France. This development comes six years after the company established a base at the airport. EasyJet is adding four new seasonal routes, including destinations like Menorca in Spain, Hurghada in Egypt, and the Greek islands of Rhodes and Chania. On top of that, the airline will also be introducing flights to Madrid and Budapest for the winter season.
EasyJet will be launching four new seasonal routes to places like Menorca, Hurghada, Rhodes, and Chania. Plus, come winter, there will be new flights to Madrid and Budapest. With the added capacity, the airline can offer more flights and expand its network of destinations. According to easyJet, the move is intended to meet seasonal demand for air travel and to enhance connections between western France and selected cities across Europe and North Africa.
We’re celebrating the 6th anniversary of our Nantes base, launching new routes to Hurghada, Rhodes, and Chania, along with 3,000 hotels through easyJet holidays. As we approach our 30th anniversary, we remain focused on affordable travel and a modern fleet.
From a practical perspective the introduction of direct flights to destinations such as Menorca Hurghada Rhodes and Chania gives passengers easier access to notable leisure and cultural spots. In Menorca visitors can explore tranquil beaches and ancient stone monuments while Hurghada offers vibrant diving spots. Rhodes invites travelers to its medieval old town and Chania charms with Venetian harbors.
The extended schedule, now including destinations like Madrid and Budapest, gives travellers more ways to enjoy must-see landmarks and seasonal events. Madrid appeals to art lovers with its rich museum scene, while Budapest remains a favorite for those seeking rest in its storied thermal springs. The addition of new routes and more frequent flights offers travellers greater planning flexibility, catering to both last-minute leisure and short-notice business travel.
The expansion in Nantes ties in with a wider pattern, as airlines adjust to more demand for regional travel. The updates aim to align flight offerings with regional demand while staying competitive in the low-cost market. This shift reflects a broader move towards more targeted, efficient routes that cater to evolving travel habits.
