Antalya Airport has completed the initial phase of a major infrastructure upgrade, extending Terminal 2 by 132,000 square meters and enlarging the domestic terminal by an additional 38,000 square meters. The project, carried out by Fraport AG and TAV Airports Holding, was finalised in less than three years and represents one of the largest investments in Türkiye’s aviation sector, amounting to approximately €850 million.

In 2023, more than 38 million passengers passed through Antalya Airport, marking a record year for the facility. As the number of local and international travelers continues to rise, the expanded terminals are designed to reduce crowding during peak times and help the airport run more efficiently. The airport currently connects to nearly 250 destinations through more than 100 airlines.

We currently offer our guests at Antalya Airport a wide variety of cuisines in 29 restaurants, ranging from snacks and international chains all the way to local Turkish specialties. One thing is sure: passengers can look forward to world-famous Turkish hospitality in all of the restaurants.

Thanks to the bigger terminal areas, passengers can now expect shorter lines at check-in and security, less waiting at boarding gates, and a more relaxed airport experience overall. With more apron space and extra taxiways, the airport can handle additional aircraft at once, which helps lower the chances of delays. These upgrades are particularly helpful during high-traffic times like school holidays and popular vacation periods when more people are flying.

Another benefit for passengers is the expanded food and hospitality offering. A new food service venture is now responsible for 29 restaurants and cafés throughout the airport. These venues offer everything from well-known international chains to authentic Turkish dishes. Whether travelers are arriving early, waiting for a connection, or just want to relax before a flight, the variety of food options makes the airport feel more welcoming.

The recent expansion helps Antalya Airport continue serving as a dependable and up-to-date hub for international journeys. With improved infrastructure, travelers can expect more flight options, greater comfort, and fewer disruptions. These upgrades are especially useful for families, returning visitors, and those traveling alone. Altogether, the changes contribute to a more pleasant travel experience in the surrounding area.
