Air Algérie and Qatar Airways Launch Joint Routes for 2025 Travelers
Qatar Airways and Air Algérie have agreed on a new code-share agreement, which will come into effect on November 15, 2025. The partnership connects Algeria with cities in Asia and the Middle East via Hamad International Airport in Doha. It builds on previous interline cooperation and aims to facilitate travel between the regions by providing passengers with more flexible travel options. Both airlines see the deal as a big step toward making it easier for people to fly between continents.
Under the agreement, Qatar Airways passengers will be able to book Air Algérie flights to seven domestic destinations:
- Algiers
 - Oran
 - Constantine
 - Annaba
 - Tamanrasset
 - Timimoun
 - Tindouf

Air Algérie customers will gain access to Qatar Airways routes reaching Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, and Muscat. The new network will simplify bookings and expand international travel options for passengers between Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.
The better network makes it easier for people who want to visit Algeria's less accessible areas to do so. With the help of the partnership, travelers can get to Tamanrasset, which is famous for the Hoggar Mountains and desert culture, or Timimoun, which is a historic oasis surrounded by red dunes. It also becomes easier to visit cities like Oran and Constantine. Improved access could encourage tourism and attract visitors eager to explore authentic destinations beyond Algeria's main transport centers.
The partnership introduces new flight connections that link African and Asian destinations via Doha. Code sharing now allows passengers to complete their journeys on one ticket instead of arranging several individual bookings. This shortens overall travel time and makes intercontinental journeys more convenient. With global demand for air travel steadily increasing, these essential links play an important part in promoting tourism. They also help foster economic cooperation between developing and mature markets.
The partnership highlights how airlines are adapting through strategic collaboration rather than route competition. It adds new travel options for passengers without large-scale infrastructure changes. For travelers, it means greater efficiency when flying between North Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. The agreement between Qatar Airways and Air Algérie demonstrates how regional cooperation can bring lasting benefits to the global transport network.
