The woman from Philadelphia who stripped on a Frontier Airlines flight 2 months ago has been arrested and charged

A woman from Philadelphia, Dulce Huertas, has been arrested and charged for allegedly exposing herself on a Frontier Airlines flight from Florida to Philadelphia. The incident occurred in November 2023.

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, the 60-year-old passenger claimed that she urgently needed to use the restroom, took off her clothes, and began swearing at the flight attendants. The news of the arrest appeared on the DOJ's website.

The altercation between the passenger, passengers, and crew took place on November 20, 2023, on a Frontier Airlines flight from Orlando (MCO) to Philadelphia (PHL). Witnesses stated that Huertas got up from her seat and announced that she needed to use the restroom.

When the flight attendant asked her to return to her seat, the unruly woman began screaming and swearing. Subsequently, according to eyewitnesses, Huertas stripped naked, sat down in her seat, and began arguing with other passengers.

She is now facing charges of "interfering with the duties of crew members and attendants, simple assault, and indecent exposure". It should be noted that the woman did not urinate in the aisle and was apprehended by security upon landing.

If found guilty, the passenger could face up to 21 years and three months in prison, as well as a fine of $355,000.

"The case is being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Federal Air Marshal's Office, an agency of the Department of Homeland Security's Transportation Security Administration. The Philadelphia Police Department also provided assistance. An indictment is an accusation, information, or statement of a crime. The defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty," stated the official report.
