Why Barcelona is the best among European cities: travel expert answers
Lewis Blow, Travel Consultant at TUI Trafford Center, explained why Barcelona meets all the criteria for a city break and much more.
From his own experience, he advised to go to Barcelona in the fall. He himself visited the city in November and was satisfied. "Not too many tourists, cheaper prices, and you don't sweat. It can be a bit chilly in the evenings - take a jumper, especially if you're near the beach where it can be windy," he wrote in his blog on the Manchester Evening News.
For accommodation, the expert recommends choosing a hotel in the very center, the Catalonia Sagrada Familia.
"The rooftop pool is a real highlight - grab a smoothie and enjoy the view. I also recommend having breakfast at the hotel. It gets great reviews," said Blow.
According to him, the biggest advantage of Barcelona is that it will satisfy everyone: from history buffs to football fans.
"There is nothing like it on Earth. Also, visit Parc Güell, a combination of gardens and works of art by the same architect: Antoni Gaudi," he summarized.
