Starting in May 2025, The Radical Hotel has officially joined Hilton’s Tapestry Collection, blending its artsy vibe with the wider world of global travel. The hotel first welcomed guests in October 2023 in what used to be a cereal factory from the 1920s. Now it’s working with Hilton but still runs on its own terms, showing a new way of doing things and connecting with people who stay there.

This all comes after the hotel bounced back and reopened its doors following damage from Hurricane Helene. While the design, atmosphere, and creative vision of the hotel remain unchanged, guests now gain access to Hilton Honors rewards, digital check-in, flexible booking tools, and other features common to Hilton properties. The Radical is now one of many unique hotels that keep their own style but get some backup from a big-name hotel group.

We are thrilled for The Radical Hotel to join Tapestry Collection by Hilton. This one-of-a-kind, art-inspired property speaks to guests seeking truly unique and immersive experiences.

The Radical is closely connected to Asheville’s creative vibe and takes a lot of inspiration from the local art scene. With 70 uniquely designed rooms, a rooftop bar overlooking the River Arts District, and interiors featuring contemporary art installations, the hotel has become a cultural landmark in the city. Being part of the Tapestry Collection means more people now notice the hotel, but it still keeps its artsy character. Guests get a local feel while booking through a system they already know.

This development expands the range of accessible accommodations in Asheville. Travelers who like to collect points or use apps to check in can now book a place that feels local and personal while still enjoying the tools and perks they’re used to from Hilton. This arrangement provides a blend of boutique atmosphere and booking convenience, reducing the need to choose between character and reliability when planning a trip.

The fact that The Radical is now working with Hilton shows something bigger happening in travel right now. More small hotels want to be seen by more people but still keep their own style and spirit. For visitors, this means more consistent access to one-of-a-kind stays that maintain authenticity while offering the structure of a global platform. In Asheville’s case, it makes exploring a creative district like River Arts more approachable for travelers who may not have considered it before.
