In late 2025, a new place to stay called voco Al Mouj Muscat is set to join the growing lineup of hotels in Oman’s capital city. You’ll find it in the Al Mouj neighborhood by the sea, with 251 rooms planned for guests. The project is being developed through a partnership between IHG Hotels & Resorts and Golden Group Holding. Construction has already begun and the hotel is intended for short-stay business guests as well as leisure travelers.
Al Mouj is a short drive from Muscat’s main airport. It’s the kind of area where housing, coastlines, and green spaces all sit side by side. Travelers who stay here avoid long drives and get more time to actually see the city. Roads and public transport are easy to reach, so getting around doesn’t take much effort. Things move more calmly here, and the constant honking and rush of the city center feel like a different world.

It’s the kind of spot where you can slow down a bit, breathe easier, and take a break without going far from where you’re staying.
Also nearby is Al Mouj Marina, a place where people come to see docked boats and enjoy the view. Right next to the marina, Al Mouj Beach stretches out as a public spot where people can swim or take a slow walk by the shoreline. Both spots are popular with locals and visitors and give easy access to Muscat’s coastline without needing to travel far.
