Updated advice from the British Foreign Office: what tourists traveling to Brazil, Costa Rica and Jordan should know
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the United Kingdom has issued updated travel advisories for British tourists traveling to Brazil, Costa Rica and Jordan. While in the first two cases the situation remains the same as before, travelers to Jordan should be more careful.

Brazil
The British have been warned that the level of crime and drug trafficking in the country remains high. There are many police officers on the streets, and tourists can become victims of fraud. In addition, the risks of terrorist attacks are not excluded.
Single parents should carry additional documents with them. This applies if one of the parents is Brazilian.
There is a high risk of contracting Zika and chikungunya viruses, yellow fever and dengue through insect bites. It is advisable to take all measures to avoid getting infected.
Costa Rica
On the Atlantic coast, thieves can lie in wait for tourists at ATMs, on public transportation, beaches, and other places. Sometimes thieves first distract victims, for example, by slashing a tire.
Britons should avoid walking alone at night in poorly lit or remote areas of the city center. Gangs occasionally carry out thefts and armed robberies.
Jordan
The British Foreign Office recommends avoiding all but essential travel within 3 km of Jordan's border with Syria.
A state of emergency has been declared in neighboring Israel due to Hamas terrorist attacks, and thus transportation routes, both land and air, may be closed at any time.
Jordan has seen a number of demonstrations recently, and more protests are likely to take place, especially after Friday prayers. You should avoid participating in them. There is also a high risk of terrorist attacks in the country, which may occur in crowded places.
