New Kimpton Hotel Opens in Frankfurt’s City Center

Kimpton Hotels, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, has opened its first property in Germany with the launch of Kimpton Main Frankfurt. The hotel is located in Frankfurt’s financial district, within the newly constructed FOUR Frankfurt complex. The building previously served as Deutsche Bank’s headquarters and has been repurposed through a broader urban redevelopment effort. The hotel is one element in the ongoing restructuring of the city center.
The property includes 155 guest rooms and suites. The interior design features Bauhaus influences, combining modernist elements with materials such as steel, velvet, and marble. Room layouts follow a minimalist approach with a focus on function and spatial organization. The furnishings and structure reflect the architectural background of the building while meeting contemporary accommodation standards.
We are thrilled to open the doors to Kimpton Main Frankfurt, our very first Kimpton hotel in Germany. Our passionate team is dedicated to crafting unforgettable experiences—whether you’re here for work, play, or a little bit of both.
Dining and lounge areas are accessible to both hotel guests and external visitors. These include the rooftop bar LAZULI, the cocktail lounge MAY, and the brasserie ANNI. Each space serves a distinct purpose, from informal gatherings to full dining service. The spaces are placed to give guests views of the city, which could appeal to many different people. Some venues are likely to contribute to increased activity in the area during evenings and weekends.
Additional features include bicycle availability, in-room yoga mats, and a pet policy with no extra charges. These elements are part of an effort to respond to changing guest expectations, including preferences for flexibility, wellness, and varied lifestyle options. The service model is designed to offer customized experiences for each guest. Similar services can be found in other city hotels across Europe.

Frankfurt’s position as a transport and financial center makes it a location of interest for international hotel groups. Kimpton Main Frankfurt’s debut adds another premium lodging option to the lively heart of the city. For IHG, it marks a notable advancement in expanding the Kimpton footprint across Europe. As cities evolve and travellers seek more personalised stays, hotels are reshaping their approach to meet today’s expectations. This new opening captures the spirit of a hospitality industry that’s evolving with the flow of modern urban life.
