Rail Maintenance to Affect Passengers Along Key Northern Italy Route
Between September 28 and October 26, 2025, Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI) will carry out maintenance works on the Fossano–Mondovì section of the Torino–Savona railway. These works involve waterproofing the Pesio, Ellero, and Corsaglia viaducts, reinforcing railway embankments, and modernizing drainage systems between Magliano and Mondovì. The project aims to strengthen structural vulnerabilities and maintain railway functionality even during adverse weather conditions. RFI has announced the works as part of a scheduled maintenance plan.
During the maintenance period, no trains will operate between Fossano and Mondovì, with closures extended to Ceva during the weekends of October 18–19 and 25–26.
