Starting October 3, 2023, Norway will ban the entry of cars registered in Russia. Restrictions, among other things, do not apply to cars with Russian license plates with 10 or more seats.
That is, only Russian minibuses and buses will be able to enter Norway. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway.
The Ministry specified that the ban will also not affect vehicles owned by citizens of Norway or the European Economic Area countries, which permanently reside in Russia.
Their family members are also exceptions.
In addition, vehicles registered in the Russian Federation that cross the border "for humanitarian reasons" will be able to enter Norway. That is, in case of acute illness, death or funeral.
