A couple of newlyweds planning to spend their honeymoon in Rome faced the unpleasant realities of travelling to a major tourist city. The vacation was accompanied by a number of unpleasant nuances that made tourists nervous and spend extra time at the police station.

The couple told Insider about their experience. A few weeks before the wedding, the woman found out she was pregnant, which also affected her honeymoon.

The flight and winding roads of Italy did not contribute to her well-being, so the traveller had to fight nausea. Pregnant women are also not allowed to eat some of the Italian dishes to avoid complicating the situation.

When the pregnant woman's condition improved, the couple went on their planned excursion. They met friendly people in the centre of Rome, whom they identified as guides and taxi drivers. However, they turned out to be scammers who had stolen the newlywed's laptop.

Next, the tourists had an unpleasant trip to the police station, after which they continued their walk. The Trevi Fountain, which the woman dreamed of seeing, was under repair, and metal poles blocked the view of the tourist attraction.

The couple eventually went to the hotel to get their suitcases, but didn't see the restricted traffic sign. The last day of their visit was marred by a hefty fine for driving in the wrong place.

In conclusion, the tourists summarized that Rome has many magical and inspiring locations, but in order not to spoil their trip, it is better to be careful on the road and beware of potential scams.
