This week, non-stop flights from Manchester Airport to Tromsø, Norway’s northern hub, will commence, offering passengers an exciting new Arctic locale. Norwegian and easyJet have introduced services to the destination, with Norwegian's flights kicking off this Wednesday, while easyJet is set to begin on November 19th. Both airlines will run these routes twice weekly, providing a convenient, three-hour trip to the northernmost city globally with a population exceeding 80,000.

The launch of these routes offers a distinct opportunity for tourists eager to explore one of the globe's most remote areas. Norwegian will operate flights on Wednesdays and Saturdays, while easyJet's service will be available on Tuesdays and Saturdays. This new connection to Tromsø will simplify Arctic travel for those in the UK seeking adventure.

Tromsø is well known for its spectacular natural sights, including the Aurora Borealis, which can be observed from autumn through early spring. The city’s wildlife excursions are also a key attraction, with marine safaris offering a chance to spot humpback whales, killer whales, and other sea creatures. For those looking for terrestrial wildlife, elk, reindeer, and arctic foxes are often seen throughout the region.

Aside from nature, Tromsø is a center for cultural exploration. The area is home to the Sami people, and visitors can experience their heritage through activities like reindeer sled tours. Attractions like the Troll-themed museum bring Norwegian legends to life, allowing guests to engage with the area's deep-rooted mythology and folk tales.

These new services create an entryway for adventure enthusiasts and those interested in culture. The availability of direct flights gives visitors the chance to experience the Arctic’s untouched landscapes and engage with regional traditions, making Tromsø a more reachable and captivating choice for UK-based travelers.

For passengers, this means additional options for winter escapes and adventurous trips. The ease of non-stop flights will encourage more people to see Tromsø as a must-visit spot, offering an unmatched gateway to the natural beauty and rich traditions of Norway's Arctic area.
