More Direct Options Open Between Berlin and Montreal This Summer

Air Canada is expanding its non stop service between Berlin Brandenburg Airport and Montreal for the 2026 summer season, adding capacity on the long haul route during peak travel months. Flights will operate from 3 July through 11 October, offering travelers a direct link between Germany and Canada at a time of traditionally high demand. The move strengthens transatlantic connectivity from Berlin and provides more flexibility for summer travel planning.
The updated Berlin to Montreal route will operate under the following schedule and conditions:
- three weekly flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays for most of the season
- an additional Monday service from 19 July to 7 September
- operations using the Airbus A321 XLR aircraft
- a total of 182 seats, including Business and Economy Class
- flight time of around eight hours and forty minutes from Berlin
What a Direct Route Unlocks for Visitors
Direct access to Montreal allows travelers to reach specific, well known parts of the city with less travel time and fewer transfers. Old Montreal offers cobbled streets, historic buildings, and landmarks such as Notre Dame Basilica, while the Old Port area along the Saint Lawrence River includes museums, waterfront promenades, and seasonal attractions. Mount Royal, located close to the city center, provides walking paths and panoramic views over downtown Montreal.
The route also supports trips beyond the city itself, making Montreal a practical starting point for wider exploration. Travelers can plan visits to Quebec City, known for its fortified old town and riverside setting, or continue onward to other North American destinations using connections from Montreal. This makes it easier to combine urban sightseeing with longer multi destination itineraries during the summer travel season.
For people traveling from Berlin, the updated flight pattern allows long haul trips to be planned with fewer restrictions on departure days. By adding extra weekly services, travelers gain more freedom to select dates that suit their own plans instead of working around a rigid schedule. The expanded service highlights growing connectivity between Europe and Canada during the busiest months of the summer travel period.
