Scandic Go Arrives in Turku and Oulu

Scandic is bringing its Scandic Go hotel concept to Finland with two openings in Turku and Oulu ahead of the main summer travel period. The two hotels add more than 280 rooms in central locations and are aimed at city visitors who want a simpler stay with digital services, self-service options and food and drinks available at any time.
What Scandic Go Adds in Finland
- Brand: Scandic Go
- Cities: Turku and Oulu, Finland
- Turku hotel: Scandic Go Eerikinkatu 30, opening 25 June
- Oulu hotel: Scandic Go Saaristonkatu 1, opening 2 July
- Total rooms: 282 across both hotels
- Concept: compact rooms, digital services, self-service and 24-hour food and drink options
- Certification: both hotels carry the Nordic Swan Ecolabel
Scandic Go Eerikinkatu 30 opens in Turku near the city square and the riverside, in part of a property previously operated as Scandic Atrium. The hotel has been updated for the Scandic Go brand and will offer 138 rooms. It is also reachable by public transport and includes a parking garage for guests arriving by car.
The Oulu hotel opens at Saaristonkatu 1, beside the market square and close to Oulu Market Hall. It will have 144 compact rooms across four floors. Rooms on the top floor come with balconies overlooking either the sea or the market square, which gives the hotel a stronger local angle than a standard city-centre sleep stop.
In Turku, the hotel puts guests close to the Aurajoki riverside, Market Square, cafés, restaurants and city walks leading towards the cathedral quarter. In Oulu, the Saaristonkatu address is handy for the Market Hall, Torinranta, Rotuaari shopping street, Pikisaari’s wooden houses and Hupisaaret parks. Nallikari Beach also becomes easier to fit into a short city stay.
These openings are useful for travellers who want central rooms without paying for services they may not use. Turku works well as a base for the Finnish archipelago, while Oulu gives visitors easier access to northern Finland’s coast and urban culture. The main thing to check before booking is room size, balcony availability and whether the self-service style fits the trip.
