As Europe gears up for the European Football Championship, Lufthansa Group is set to transport soccer fans to Germany with their specially branded "Fanhansa" flights. From June 14 to July 14, the airline group expects around 200,000 additional bookings, particularly to and from Great Britain, highlighting the high demand and excitement surrounding the event. Heiko Reitz, Chief Commercial Officer of Lufthansa Airlines, expressed anticipation for flying soccer fans from all over the world to Germany, underlining Lufthansa's partnership with the German men's national soccer team.

To enhance the fan experience, Lufthansa has introduced six A320 aircraft decorated with "Fanhansa" branding, creating a soccer-themed atmosphere onboard. Passengers will enjoy themed headrests, "Breakfast for Champions" food trays, and exclusive European Championship chocolates. This initiative aims to immerse fans in the soccer spirit from the moment they board their flights.

In addition to the themed flights, Lufthansa offers a live ticker service on domestic German and European flights, allowing passengers to follow match updates in real-time via the FlyNet® portal on their devices. This service, available in both German and English, will also be accessible on Lufthansa A350 flights with the new Allegris cabin interior and on Discover Airlines long-haul flights.

Moreover, Lufthansa provides comprehensive coverage of the championship with videos of DFB team players participating in quizzes and detailed information about the ten German host cities. This content is available both onboard and on the ground through the FlyNet® portal and Lufthansa.com. Flight crews will also keep passengers updated with live scores throughout the flights.

A special European fan scarf, symbolizing Lufthansa's route network, has become a popular souvenir, distributed free of charge at host city airports during Germany matches. An oversized version of the scarf adorns the facade of Terminal 2 in Munich, setting the tone for the summer's major events, including the European Football Championships and the Olympic Games in Paris. The fan scarf will be on display until mid-August, celebrating the excitement and spirit of these significant events.
