Ljubljana Airport Adds New Winter Routes to Southern and Northern Europe
Between October 26, 2025, and March 28, 2026, Ljubljana Airport will follow its updated winter schedule. The update will include the introduction of new direct routes and changes to several existing ones, offering a total of 21 regular destinations. This expansion reflects the airport's ongoing improvement of international connections and a clear effort to strengthen flight options during a season that is typically characterized by lower travel demand. This is another step toward improving access to key European and regional destinations.
The updated schedule not only adds fresh connections but also maintains and improves frequencies on key lines. The network now includes major European hubs such as:
- Frankfurt
- Paris
- Amsterdam
- Istanbul
- Zurich
Additionally, regional routes keep Slovenia well connected to neighbouring markets, while services to Munich will continue under a new operational arrangement.
The addition of a weekly direct link to Las Palmas on the island of Gran Canaria opens up a warm-weather getaway during the winter months. Visitors arriving there can enjoy Playa de Las Canteras, three kilometres of golden sand with a lively promenade, as well as the historic Vegueta district offering colonial architecture and cultural institutions.
Two further fresh links enhance urban city-break options from Ljubljana. Barcelona features iconic attractions such as the Sagrada Familia, vibrant coastal life, and a flourishing artistic scene. Manchester has a rich history, a lively modern culture, a famous music scene, and a strong sporting heritage. Two new routes provide Slovenian passengers with additional opportunities for winter travel.
The new winter timetable gives travellers more freedom, featuring new nonstop routes and easier access to sunny resorts and lively cultural destinations. It also shows that people are starting to see seasonal connectivity differently: it's not just a time to travel, but a chance to travel. With these new destinations, Ljubljana Airport is making it easier for people to take short trips for fun or to get away from it all in the middle of the season.
