Expanded Spanish Routes Make Travel Across Europe Easier

This year, 35 new Wizz Air routes from Spain were launched, broadening the network to include 16 airports. Several routes are already in operation, while others are scheduled to begin in the coming months. With the addition of new routes, Wizz Air now offers a record number of seats between Spain and Rome, enhancing travel possibilities for passengers. The expansion is part of a wider effort to enhance accessibility and increase flight options throughout Spain.

The expanded network provides travelers with access to notable European attractions. From Spain to Italy, passengers can visit the Colosseum in Rome, hike the Amalfi Coast cliffs, or explore the volcanic area of Mount Vesuvius. Flights to France allow access to the beaches of Nice, the lavender fields of Provence, and the Gorges du Verdon. Those traveling to Germany can experience the Black Forest, the Rhine Valley vineyards, or the surroundings of Neuschwanstein Castle.
Connections to the Canary Islands have also been strengthened. From Gran Canaria, Tenerife, and Fuerteventura, travelers can reach the sand dunes of Maspalomas, climb Mount Teide, or visit the natural pools of Garachico. In 2025, Wizz Air provides over 1 million seats to and from the islands across 15 routes to 10 destinations in five countries. More flights and higher capacity make schedules more flexible, helping passengers access outdoor and scenic sites more efficiently.

Wizz Air’s expanded Spanish network gives passengers improved access to direct routes, additional seats, and more consistent flight timings. Easier access to scenic and outdoor destinations provides options for both leisure and adventure travelers. Improved flight connections from Spain reinforce its position as a key gateway for European travel, allowing passengers to reach more destinations and plan trips more efficiently.
