Emirates Partners with Uber to Simplify Airport Transfers
On 19 June 2025 in Dubai, Emirates and Uber agreed to team up, aiming to connect airport trips with flight plans so travellers won’t need to juggle separate bookings for cars and planes. The deal sets up a way to connect car rides to flights, so in certain places, passengers can sort out their airport transport as part of booking with Emirates. Initial efforts will focus on the UAE and select international destinations served by the airline, where both companies are preparing to implement joint features for travel coordination.
As part of this collaboration, UAE-based members of the Emirates Skywards loyalty programme will be able to earn Miles when using Uber in certain cities across the airline’s network. The collected Miles will be credited in accordance with the programme’s standard policies. They’re also looking into letting people swap their Miles for Uber credits or vouchers, but the exact rules for how that will work haven’t been sorted out yet.

The agreement includes plans to introduce a booking integration feature. This would enable passengers to arrange Uber rides while purchasing flight tickets on the Emirates website. In some cases, ride vouchers may be issued as part of the booking process. The service will be available only in selected cities where Emirates flights and Uber transport options are both in operation.
Passengers using eligible routes may benefit from a more unified approach to booking, without having to manage airport transfers separately. According to the companies, the following elements are currently under consideration:
- Airport transfers could be arranged in advance within the same system used for booking flights.
- Uber rides may be linked directly to a reservation if conditions for route and availability are met.
- The idea is to make it easier for travellers to match their flights with car rides, so everything lines up smoothly when possible.
In addition to passenger-related services, Emirates and Uber are also exploring cooperation in parcel delivery. A potential expansion of Emirates Courier Express could involve Uber's last-mile logistics capabilities in cities where both services are active. This aspect of the partnership concerns cargo movement rather than passenger transport but remains part of the broader coordination effort.
