EasyJet Connects Ljubljana with Manchester in New Route Launch

EasyJet has added a new direct route linking Ljubljana Airport with Manchester, expanding flight options between Slovenia and the United Kingdom. The connection began in November 2025 and operates twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, using a 186-seat Airbus A320. It complements the airline’s existing Ljubljana–London Gatwick service and forms part of a wider effort to improve regional air links within Europe.
One-way fares on the route start at around €39, according to the airline’s booking data. The new flights create a direct link to northern England, one of the UK’s key business and education regions. Manchester stands out for its wide selection of universities, creative research centers, and rapidly developing technology sector. The service is expected to support both leisure and business travel between Slovenia and the United Kingdom.
Visitors to Manchester can see both old and new things. At the Science and Industry Museum, visitors can learn about the city's industrial history, and at the Manchester Art Gallery, they can see modern art. Old Trafford and Etihad Stadium, which are both in the city, are also famous for their football history and draw fans from all over the world. For people coming from Slovenia, it's easy to explore the area because of the public transportation links.
The city’s location provides convenient access to nearby attractions across northern England. The Peak District National Park lies within an hour by train, while Liverpool, Chester, and the Lake District are also within easy reach. These destinations expand travel opportunities for passengers arriving from Ljubljana, making it possible to combine city visits with short regional trips across some of England’s most recognisable landscapes.
The introduction of the Ljubljana–Manchester route adds another link between smaller European capitals and regional UK airports. It shows that people are paying more attention to balanced connectivity outside of big cities like London. For travelers, the service simplifies cross-border travel in Europe, offering easier access to the continent’s expanding network of budget-friendly flights.
