Conrad Hotels Makes Its German Debut in Hamburg

Conrad Hamburg, arriving as the initial Conrad Hotels & Resorts property in Germany, opened its doors to visitors for the first time on September 18, 2025. The hotel occupies the Levantehaus, a 1912 Art Nouveau building that fuses its historical character with contemporary hospitality offerings. The hotel provides 283 rooms and suites in which modern design seamlessly integrates with features inspired by the building’s historic architecture. The interiors incorporate artistic features inspired by the building’s cultural and musical influences.
Dining options at the hotel cover a wide range of experiences. GRETA OTO serves Latin American–inspired cuisine, while La Mesa offers a private dining space for smaller groups. Guests can also find a bar and cigar lounge within the property. The leisure area includes a 20-meter indoor swimming pool, a sauna, a steam bath, and a fitness center. In addition, the hotel displays an art collection focused on northern German artists, connecting guests with the region’s cultural scene.
“With Conrad Hamburg, we’re not just expanding our award-winning luxury brand, we’re making a statement about our commitment to Europe’s most iconic destinations and to the German market. Hamburg’s maritime heritage, vibrant cultural scene and thriving business hub make it a great destination for both business and leisure travellers, and the ideal setting for Conrad Hotels & Resorts’ debut in Germany. This launch brings our distinctive approach to luxury hospitality to this dynamic city."
The property’s location near landmarks such as the Elbphilharmonie, Alster Lake, and City Hall provides direct access to Hamburg’s cultural and architectural sites. The hotel provides nine meeting rooms and flexible event spaces, well-suited for formal business gatherings as well as casual guest meetups. The hotel’s layout and design are intended to support both structured business events and relaxed social gatherings.
In addition to welcoming tourists, Conrad Hamburg provides specialized spaces and amenities for business and corporate functions. The property has nine meeting spaces of varying sizes, suitable for small boardroom sessions or conferences with up to 220 participants. Natural lighting and modern technical equipment support a wide range of uses. This makes the hotel an option for business travelers who require professional facilities while staying in a central urban setting. The mix of leisure and business facilities allows the hotel to cater to a wide variety of guest needs and visit purposes.
The launch of Conrad Hamburg adds a new, distinctive option to Hamburg’s hotel scene. Its integration of historic architecture with modern hospitality functions responds to growing demand for distinctive urban accommodations in Europe. For travelers, this development provides both cultural access and functional amenities in one location. On a broader scale, the addition of a global luxury brand to Hamburg could influence the city’s hospitality sector by raising competition and expanding choices in the premium segment.
