Blue Islands to launch twice-daily flights between Leeds Bradford and Southampton from March 2026
Starting 29 March 2026, Blue Islands will introduce two daily flights between Leeds Bradford and Southampton, offering a faster north–south connection within the UK. The new route provides an easy option for both business and leisure passengers, with fares starting from £69.99 one way, including a 23kg luggage allowance. Tickets are already available on the airline’s website.

- From Leeds Bradford to Southampton: morning and afternoon departures
- From Southampton to Leeds Bradford: morning and evening departures
- Operated by 70-seat ATR aircraft
- Same-day return possible for business travellers
- Checked luggage (23kg) included in fare
The schedule is designed for flexibility, allowing both northbound and southbound passengers to plan full-day visits without overnight stays. With two flights each way, travellers can choose the timing that best fits work commitments, cruise departures, or weekend plans.
The route also opens convenient links to the Channel Islands. Passengers from Yorkshire will be able to fly to Jersey on a same-plane service or connect easily to Guernsey through Blue Islands’ Southampton hub. The timetable allows same-day trips, making it handy for business meetings, short breaks, or catching a cruise from Southampton.
Yorkshire residents will have a quicker way to reach the South for work or holidays. The new flights make it easier to get to ports, the countryside, and the coast around Southampton. In return, travellers from the South can discover northern highlights like York’s old streets and the Yorkshire Dales. The route also links through Southampton to the Channel Islands, giving easy access to quiet beaches and small harbours.
