Blue Islands will expand its summer schedule from Norwich to Jersey and Guernsey in 2026, responding to a steady rise in demand for short island breaks. Starting 9 May, the airline will increase its services from two to three flights per week, offering easier access to the Channel Islands for travellers from East Anglia.

According to the new timetable, there will be two direct flights each week to Jersey, both with onward connections to Guernsey. A third weekly service will fly directly to Guernsey with a link back to Jersey, allowing flexible travel between the islands. Each journey takes just over an hour, providing a quick and comfortable route for those seeking a change of scenery.

Blue Islands Chief Executive Rob Veron said the expansion marks the airline’s fifth year operating from Norwich. He noted that growing passenger numbers reflect how simple and appealing the route has become: visitors are drawn by the islands’ beaches, walking paths, and locally sourced cuisine. He added that the airline looks forward to welcoming more guests to experience the unique charm of the Channel Islands.

From May onwards, the Channel Islands will be even more within reach for residents of eastern England. Jersey has long stretches of sand, cliff walks, and lively harbours where seafood is always on the menu. Guernsey has a slower pace, with little harbours, narrow lanes and cafés that look out over the sea. The islands have different characters, but both share that easy calm that makes them pleasant to come back to. The new schedule makes it easier to enjoy both islands in one trip, blending culture, nature and calm seaside escapes.

“2026 will be our fifth year of flying from Norwich to Jersey and Guernsey, as such we’re excited to increase services for next summer and welcome more people to enjoy our beautiful islands. Visitors are clearly enjoying the ease of getting to the Channel Islands, with our stunning coastlines, amazing restaurants using the freshest local ingredients, and rich histories to discover – all just over an hour away."
Rob Veron, CEO of Blue Islands

The added capacity strengthens the connection between East Anglia and the Channel Islands, giving people more flexibility to plan weekend breaks or longer stays without relying on connecting flights. This shows that airports like Norwich are still important, helping smaller towns stay connected, supporting local tourism and giving people easier ways to travel without having to go to major city centres.
