Best city in Scotland on Christmas Eve: where to celebrate cheaply and deliciously
The city of Perth has been ranked first in the ranking of the best locations for a night out in Scotland - and ninth in the overall UK ranking. New research has revealed the best city in Scotland for a night out on Christmas Eve.
During the study, experts examined the number of bars and clubs in each city, as well as the number of pubs, the average cost of a pint, the average cost of takeaway food, and safety indicators. It turned out that there are 76 pubs and 23 nightclubs or bars per 100,000 people in the city, writes DailyRecord.
The study also found that the average price of a half-liter of beer costs an average of £3.25, and the city is also rated highly in terms of safety for walking home at night.
At the same time, The Caledonian on the High Street received the highest rating in Perth. "Very good selection of drinks and reasonable prices. Live music almost every weekend. A decent outdoor area when the sun is shining," says the feedback from grateful customers.
Other pubs that received good ratings include the Old Ship Inn, also located on the High Street. "I was in town walking the dog when I passed by and decided to stop in for a well-deserved pint. I was greeted by a very friendly barmaid who listed the various lagers they offered. I sat down at a very cozy bar and enjoyed my drink. On a Monday afternoon, the bar was quite busy and the atmosphere was great," says a review of this establishment.
Another popular place in Perth is the BrewDog pub. In addition, customers are also attracted to such establishments as The Malt House Bar and Grill, Ormonds, The Twa Tams, and The Bunker Bar - where you can even try golf and racing simulators. For those who like to party, The Loft offers its services after midnight.
It should be added that the city of Perth is about an hour away from Glasgow by train, and Edinburgh is about 75 minutes away. Its convenient location makes it ideal for a Christmas vacation or evening entertainment.
