You may have never even heard of Ladonia, a tiny virtual state in Sweden where anyone can become a citizen. The latest data shows that the population of Ladonia is more than 28,000, but no one actually lives there.

It has 4 different social classes: nobility, ordinary citizens, honorary citizens and saints. The state was created by the artist Lars Vilks, who was persecuted by the authorities for creating two sculptures, Nimis and Arx. He died in 2021.
Anyone with access to the website can become a citizen of the country. To do this, you actually just need to fill out an application.
