A museum in Barcelona conducted a tour for nudist visitors
The Museum of Archaeology of Catalonia hosted a provocative tour for nude visitors in collaboration with the Catalan Naturism Club. They organized a cultural event in which nudists participated.
Men and women without clothes were given a 90-minute tour of the exhibition featuring photographs by Luigi Spina, titled "The Warriors of Riace," showcasing two large Greek bronze statues of naked soldiers from the 5th century BC, discovered in 1972 near Riace, Italy. According to Reuters, the guide, named Edgard, was also unclothed.
He stated, "We wanted to make this visit more vibrant than a typical tour. We wanted the people who came to see it to feel the same way as the works they were looking at".
The museum's website announced that the staff would provide visitors with the opportunity to "admire the works in the same condition as they are, completely naked and surrounded by other bodies."
One of the tour participants, Marta, shared with reporters that such an experience allowed nudists to recognize that there is nothing shameful about being naked, as there used to be nothing to be ashamed of.
