A hammerhead shark rounded up paddlers off the coast of Florida
Paddlers Malea Tribble and her partner Gabe Barajas got into a horrible situation while kayaking in the Bahamas in Florida. A hammerhead shark circled above them in the Gulf Stream.
Fortunately, none of the paddlers were injured. They got off only a slight fright, writes the Daily Mail.
While rowing in the ocean Tribble felt that her board touched something from below. It turned out that a hammerhead shark swam right under her and caught her board with its fin. Then it actually showed its fin next to the girl's board.
Tribble's husband was also nearby, who was the first to notice the danger and urged his spouse not to panic.
After that, the swimmers headed back toward Florida.
"We felt calm. I did not have time to let myself get scared," the girl recalled.
By the way, there have only been about 1,200 shark attacks worldwide in the last 50 years, with a mortality rate of 14 percent .
It is also marked that sharks often attack in the afternoon.
