Cork Airport Adds Seasonal Route to Greek Island

A seasonal air route between Cork Airport and the Greek island of Corfu began operating on May 9 and will continue weekly on Fridays until September 12, 2025. This development marks the second Greek island destination introduced at Cork within the past two years. The route adds to the limited range of summer options available from Ireland’s southern region without requiring travel through larger hub airports elsewhere in Europe.
Flights are scheduled to depart on Friday afternoons and are part of TUI’s seasonal summer network. Taking this flight drops you right where the cruise ships leave, so there’s no need to deal with other airports or zigzag across countries just to start your sea trip. Flying just once a week won’t suit every traveler’s plans, but it’s still a handy way to get straight to Greece from Cork without juggling multiple flights or hanging around in busy transfer hubs.
We’re delighted to celebrate our inaugural flight from Cork to Corfu today. This new route offers a taste of the Greek Islands and delights for the people of Cork and surrounding counties this Summer. The flight also allows for seamless connections with Marella Cruises’ exciting itineraries from Corfu, giving holidaymakers even more of Greece to explore from Cork.
Based in southern Ireland, the addition of this direct flight may streamline holiday planning by shortening total travel time. It makes it easier to jump on a cruise from Corfu and means travelers can dodge the long lines and crowds at big airports like Dublin or London when chasing sunshine. Still, flying only once a week might be tricky for people with tight return plans or short holidays who need more wiggle room in their schedule.
Flights are scheduled to depart on Friday afternoons and are part of TUI’s seasonal summer network. Corfu Town, the island’s main hub, has earned UNESCO status thanks to its old buildings, stone streets, and centuries-old walls left behind by the Venetians. Once you leave the lively town behind, you’ll find quiet shores, tucked-away hill villages, and sun-soaked beaches where folks head when summer hits its stride. Olive groves and cypress-lined roads dominate the scenery in many rural parts of the island.

This new route joins other TUI-operated summer services from Cork, such as flights to Palma de Mallorca, Lanzarote, and Reus. The expansion reflects an ongoing demand for direct connections to Mediterranean locations from regional airports. Although the current offering remains limited in scale and frequency, it signals continued efforts to broaden destination options available to Irish travelers outside major urban centres.
