SAS will add new routes and extra flights from Copenhagen this winter, giving passengers more options across Scandinavia, Europe, and long-haul destinations. The expanded schedule further establishes Copenhagen as a key connection point for travel between the Nordic countries and major global routes. The airline says the new schedule responds to passenger demand for easier transfers and more travel choices between Northern Europe, Asia, and North America this season.

The upcoming winter schedule adds a mix of new year-round and seasonal routes from Copenhagen, offering travellers more ways to reach both city destinations and popular holiday spots.

New year-round routes:

  • Vienna – two daily flights
  • Tel Aviv – twice weekly

New seasonal leisure destinations:

  • Marrakech
  • Funchal
  • Fuerteventura
  • Kittilä
  • Turin

Continued routes from the 2025 summer program:

  • Billund
  • Turku
  • Budapest
  • Lyon
  • Kraków
  • Seoul
  • Toronto

Together, these additions create smoother links between Northern Europe, Central Europe, and key intercontinental destinations.

“We are entering the first winter season with an optimized network setup. The results are clear: higher connectivity, better schedules, and even stronger offerings for our customers across the Nordics and beyond. With new destinations, extended routes and more frequent service, we continue to build our position as the leading carrier in Northern Europe."
Henrik Winell, Vice President, Network at SAS

With a 40% increase in winter seat capacity compared with last year, SAS adds more choice for passengers travelling through Copenhagen. The schedule now includes 55% more connected destinations and 75% more transfer options, making same-day travel across Europe and beyond easier to plan. The new network makes onward travel between Northern Europe, Asia, and North America easier to plan.

The new routes open up a wide range of travel possibilities. Travellers across Scandinavia will have new options to reach cultural hubs such as Vienna and Tel Aviv, along with classic winter escapes in the Canary Islands and the Alps. Visitors heading the other way can use the new connections to discover Nordic cities and the landscapes of Northern Europe more easily, with smoother links and shorter travel times.

SAS’s new winter schedule reflects the gradual recovery of air travel and growing passenger movement across regions. With added routes and improved links through Copenhagen, it’s now easier to plan both short European breaks and long-haul journeys. The Danish capital continues to serve as one of Europe’s most practical and well-connected airports for onward travel.
