New Flight Options from Berlin: Eurowings and BER Connect to Four More Cities

This summer, Eurowings is adding four new direct flights from Berlin Brandenburg Airport to different parts of Europe with no stopovers in between. Starting in May, the airline will operate scheduled flights to Jerez de la Frontera, Bilbao, Corfu, and Newcastle. These destinations, which include both southern and northern European regions, are part of Eurowings’ seasonal route updates and are aimed at strengthening Berlin’s network with more mid-sized and culturally distinct cities.

Flights to the new destinations will operate on fixed days. Jerez will be served on Tuesdays and Saturdays, while Bilbao flights are scheduled for Mondays and Fridays. Corfu service will begin in late May with two weekly departures. Newcastle will be connected every Thursday and Sunday. Some of these cities are new additions to BER’s network, offering more direct access to areas not previously served from the German capital.

Besides adding new places, Eurowings also wants to send more flights to some of the cities it already flies to around Europe. More flights will be added to selected destinations in Spain, Greece, and France, although exact frequency details have not been disclosed. These adjustments form part of the airline’s broader summer schedule, which focuses on meeting seasonal demand by enhancing point-to-point travel options from Berlin without relying on connecting hubs.

The new cities vary in scale and profile. Corfu is known for its UNESCO-listed old town and quieter coastal areas in the north. Jerez is a place where old stone buildings, horse shows, and deep-rooted Andalusian customs all come together in everyday life. Bilbao blends old Basque traditions with shiny new buildings and art spaces, creating a mix of past and present. Newcastle, sitting by the River Tyne, has gone from factories to galleries, with old brickwork standing alongside fresh creative energy. Each destination adds regional variety to Berlin’s direct flight map.

This shift shows that more people want to skip the big, busy cities and head straight to smaller places that have their own unique vibe and local feel. By opening up these new flight paths, Eurowings gives Berlin more ways to connect and lets travelers skip the usual crowded spots in favor of somewhere different. The move also supports more efficient travel by reducing reliance on major transit points. The airline’s updated schedule will be in effect throughout the summer season, with routes timed to support leisure demand across multiple regions of Europe.
