Jet2 Adds Thassos to Birmingham Summer 2027 Programme
Jet2 has announced a new Greek destination for Summer 2027, adding the island of Thassos to its programme from Birmingham Airport. Weekly flights will operate to Kavala International Airport between 12 May and 29 September 2027, with onward ferry transfers to the island. The addition expands Jet2’s network of Greek airports to sixteen and increases the choice of holiday destinations available from Birmingham.
Thassos, in the northern Aegean Sea, is known for its beaches, green hills and small seaside towns. Resorts included in the programme include Agios Ioannis, Golden Beach, Limenaria, Potos, Skala Prinos, Skala Rahoni and Thassos Town. Accommodation ranges from two to five-star hotels, with transfers provided between the airport, ferry port and the final destination on the island.

Flights will depart once a week on Wednesdays to Kavala on the Greek mainland, followed by a short ferry journey to Thassos. The route responds to continued interest in holidays across Greece, where island destinations remain a popular choice during the summer season. The expanded programme brings the total number of Greek destinations available through Jet2 from Birmingham Airport to twenty-seven.

Thassos has been added as interest in Greek island holidays remains strong, especially for places known for a quieter atmosphere. For those departing from the Midlands, the route introduces another option within the existing Jet2 programme. Expanding connections to regional airports may help spread visitor numbers across different destinations rather than concentrating demand on a limited number of popular resorts.
