LOT Adds Bologna Route With Six Weekly Flights

Direct flights between Warsaw and Bologna began on 31 March 2026, adding another connection between Poland and the Emilia-Romagna region. Flights began on 31 March 2026 and operate six times per week throughout both the summer and winter seasons. The connection expands the airline’s presence in Italy, making Bologna the fourth Italian destination served by the carrier’s regular network.
Flights run every day except Saturday, with both morning and afternoon departures available. The flight time is around two hours and ten minutes. Bologna Airport also provides access to the airline’s wider network of more than 120 destinations across Europe, Asia and North America, allowing further journeys through a single booking.
The new route reflects growing interest in travel between Poland and northern Italy. Data from regional tourism authorities shows an increase in visitors arriving in Emilia-Romagna, with Poland among the faster-growing international markets. Bologna’s position as a cultural and historic centre continues to attract visitors interested in architecture, food traditions and events linked to the region’s academic and artistic heritage.
Direct flights make it easier to reach Piazza Maggiore, the Basilica of San Petronio and the long network of historic porticoes recognised by UNESCO. The city also provides access to the Emilia-Romagna region, known for culinary traditions and locations linked with the Motor Valley. Rail connections from Bologna allow further travel across northern Italy, including trips to Florence, Milan and the Adriatic coast.
Flights operating six times a week give more choice when planning both short visits and longer stays in northern Italy. Reaching Bologna more easily also helps organise trips that include other cities in the region, especially when continuing by train. The new connection adds another direct option between European regional cities, helping reduce the need for additional stops during the journey.
