New Beachside Hotel Planned Near Phuket Airport
IHG Hotels & Resorts has confirmed plans for Hotel Indigo Phuket Nai Yang Beach, a new lifestyle hotel scheduled to open in 2030. The project will be developed together with Thailand’s AssetWise Public Company Limited and its subsidiary Rhom Bho Property. The signing marks a continued partnership between the companies as international hotel groups expand their presence across Phuket’s growing tourism market.
The planned property will include 170 rooms and become part of IHG’s expanding hotel portfolio in Thailand. The company already operates several brands on the island, with additional projects currently in development. Phuket saw its busiest high season in five years last year, with visitor numbers exceeding levels seen before the pandemic.
“Last year, Phuket enjoyed its strongest high season in five years, surpassing pre-Covid levels. We’re confident this momentum will continue throughout 2026 and beyond, supported by the increase in direct international flights and the island’s reputation for nature and wellness, rich cultural heritage and exceptional cuisine."
Key Details Of Hotel Indigo Phuket Nai Yang Beach
- Opening planned for 2030
- 170-room hotel near Nai Yang Beach
- Five-minute drive from Phuket International Airport
- Located close to Sirinat National Park
- Restaurant, bar, spa and fitness facilities planned
The hotel joins another upcoming joint project between IHG and AssetWise, voco Phuket Bangtao, both currently in development.
Its location near Nai Yang Beach places future guests within walking distance of one of Phuket’s quieter coastal areas, away from the island’s busiest resort zones. Sirinat National Park offers protected shoreline, forest trails and coastal scenery nearby, while Phuket Old Town can be reached within about 45 minutes for markets, historic streets and local dining areas.
The hotel is planned near Phuket International Airport, where new accommodation continues to appear as tourism on the island remains busy. Properties close to the airport are often used for short stays and overnight stopovers. New openings in quieter coastal areas also give visitors more options outside Phuket’s main resort zones while keeping beaches and nature within easy reach.
