Morocco Gets 17 New Ryanair Routes This Winter
Ryanair has unveiled its largest winter schedule yet in Morocco, expanding the network to 156 routes across 13 airports. The airline will add 17 new connections and open a fifth Moroccan base in Rabat, where two additional aircraft will be stationed. The programme links Morocco with 14 countries and adds 580,000 seats compared with last winter, a 12% increase.

The new Rabat base will bring Ryanair’s Moroccan fleet to 16 based aircraft, representing a total investment of $1.6 billion. The airline says its winter programme will support more than 8,500 local jobs, including 480 pilot and cabin crew positions. Services will also continue through regional airports including Fez, Tetouan, Essaouira, Ouarzazate, Dakhla and Nador, spreading the expansion beyond Morocco’s busiest tourist hubs.
The wider network makes several parts of Morocco easier to combine in one winter trip. Marrakesh remains a useful base for the Atlas Mountains, while Agadir opens access to the Atlantic coast. Fez offers its historic medina, Ouarzazate is a gateway to desert landscapes, and Essaouira suits travellers looking for a smaller coastal city. Additional European links also make shorter winter breaks more realistic.
With more seats and more airports in the network, travellers will have more choice when planning a trip to Morocco. Instead of relying mainly on Marrakesh or Casablanca, they can fly closer to places such as Fez, Essaouira, Ouarzazate or Agadir. That should make multi-stop winter trips easier to organise, although prices and flight frequency will depend on the individual route.
