New Airline Launches Six Chișinău Routes From €35

A new Moldovan airline has begun flying from Chișinău and plans to add six European routes before November ends. Polaris operated its first passenger service to Istanbul on 5 November 2026, with flights to four Italian airports, Prague and Dublin following later this month. The expansion offers another choice for visiting family or taking city breaks, although the additional European services have yet to launch.

Tickets are on sale through Polaris, but the advertised starting fares may not be available on every departure. The carrier began services with a Moldova-registered Airbus A321 and plans to expand its fleet. Several routes already have competition: Wizz Air advertises flights to Bologna, Verona and Prague, while its Milan Bergamo service uses a different airport from Polaris's Malpensa route. Check airport codes when comparing prices.
Milan Malpensa has direct trains to central Milan, while Verona is a useful starting point for Lake Garda. Bologna opens up Emilia-Romagna, with its food markets and historic centre; Prague and Rome suit shorter city breaks. Dublin adds another option for trips to Ireland, but Irish immigration rules differ from those in the Schengen Area. Check visa requirements before buying a ticket.
Three weekly departures give passengers more options, but they may not fit a short visit or a fixed return date. Compare the full cost of the journey, including any baggage charges and transfers, rather than relying on the lowest advertised fare. Polaris has begun flying, but its six additional routes still have launch dates ahead; checking the booking details is especially important while its network is new.
