London Southend Ties Giveaway To Summer Routes
London Southend Airport has launched a prize draw in partnership with food brand NUGS, offering a total of £5,000 in travel credit linked to destinations on its summer schedule. The campaign focuses on five locations served by the airport, including the Canary Islands, Italy, Marrakech, Turkey and Ibiza. Each week, one participant can win £1,000 towards a trip connected with the featured destination.
The promotion runs for five weeks, with a themed food item representing a different destination each time. Participants are asked to purchase the weekly special product, take a photo and share it on social media while tagging both companies. Winners are selected at random. The activity is aimed primarily at people living in Essex and nearby areas who may be considering short-haul leisure travel during the summer season.

The final stage of the campaign is planned as a public event at London Southend Airport’s Mid Stay car park on 29 April. The event will coincide with the first Ibiza flight of the summer timetable and will include food, drinks and music, alongside the final opportunity to win travel credit. According to the organisers, the campaign is intended to highlight destinations available from the airport’s seasonal network.
