Liverpool, UK – Japan Airlines (JAL) and Liverpool Football Club (LFC) have unveiled the Japan Airlines Lounge at Anfield Stadium, a significant milestone in their newly formed multi-year partnership announced in June 2024. The lounge, which officially opened on August 25, just hours before LFC's first home match of the season, is accessible through purchased hospitality packages and offers a unique blend of Japanese hospitality and the thrill of English football.

The Japan Airlines Lounge, located in the former 1892 hospitality space, introduces fans to a refined experience inspired by Japanese nature and architecture. The design features timbers, soft lighting, and modern contemporary furnishings, reflecting the serenity and luxury synonymous with JAL's service. The lounge will be open during all Liverpool FC home matches, providing a premium matchday experience that includes a three-course menu and exceptional service.

Junko Sakihara, Deputy Vice President of Customer Experience at Japan Airlines, expressed excitement about the launch: "We are thrilled to open the Japan Airlines Lounge at Anfield, marking an initial key step in our multi-year partnership with Liverpool FC. This lounge uniquely blends Japanese hospitality with football, uniting two cultures that value tradition, excellence, and community. We look forward to building a strong connection between our brands."

This lounge opening is just one aspect of the broader partnership between Japan Airlines and Liverpool FC. Both brands are committed to fostering community and cultural exchange, as evidenced by their collaborative efforts through the LFC Foundation. The partnership's first initiative, a youth soccer clinic in Philadelphia during LFC's U.S. preseason tour, is set to expand to Thailand and other regions.

The opening celebration of the Japan Airlines Lounge featured Japanese cocktails, such as the Yuzu Sour, and a roving hospitality cart offering caviar and sake, providing guests with a taste of JAL’s premium experience. The evening concluded with a pairing of Japanese whisky and dessert, with personalized gifts like engraved chopsticks and luggage tags commemorating the occasion.

Together, Japan Airlines and Liverpool FC aim to inspire and connect fans and travelers worldwide, building bridges between cultures, communities, and people through their innovative partnership.
