Iberia is preparing its largest summer schedule so far, offering more than 21.4 million seats across its network from 29 March. The airline is adding capacity on most routes, with a clear focus on long-haul services and further growth across Europe. The plan follows steady demand from both leisure and business travellers, supported by new aircraft and additional routes.

Within Spain and across Europe, Iberia will offer nearly 16 million seats. The schedule includes new destinations such as Bucharest and Tivat, alongside the return of seasonal routes to Croatia, Italy and Greece. Frequencies are also rising on key European city routes, with additional flights planned to destinations including Athens, Milan and Nice during peak summer months.

North America sees the largest year-on-year increase, with capacity rising by just over 19% to more than 1.28 million seats. Toronto joins the network in June with five weekly flights. In the United States, New York gains an additional daily service to Newark, complementing existing JFK routes. Other cities, including Boston, Miami, Chicago and Dallas, continue with regular or expanded schedules.

Where Iberia is adding capacity this summer

  • Toronto joins the network with five weekly flights
  • Monterrey launches with three weekly services
  • Bucharest and Tivat added to European map
  • Increased frequencies across major US and EU cities

Latin America remains central to Iberia’s summer plans, with capacity expected to pass 3.35 million seats. New routes, including Monterrey, strengthen connections with Mexico, while services to Buenos Aires, Brazil and the Dominican Republic continue to grow. The airline is also adding flights across both long-haul and shorter routes.

More flights are being added across several regions. Passengers will have a wider choice of departure dates and connections. Additional seats may reduce pressure on routes that usually fill up early, particularly during the summer peak. On some services, tickets can sell out weeks ahead of departure.
