Hilton has announced its global expansion between April and June 2025 with a surf of new properties in multiple regions of the world. The openings will feature the reemergence of Waldorf Astoria New York with another grand hotel in Japan and Costa Rica. With developments spanning brands like Curio Collection, DoubleTree, and the long-stay LivSmart Studios, Hilton is tapping into diverse travel demands and entering both established and emerging markets.

New properties are scheduled to open in destinations ranging from metropolitan hubs like Osaka and Athens to less-developed tourist regions such as Yanji and El Gouna. These additions follow Hilton’s strategy to increase regional diversity while also accommodating evolving guest expectations. Alongside luxury resorts and city hotels, the brand will introduce new long-stay options in cities like Kokomo and Tullahoma, responding to rising demand for extended travel experiences and remote working opportunities.

This expansion will provide more avenues to cultural and natural hotspots. The new Waldorf Astoria Costa Rica, for instance, offers proximity to Playa Penca’s secluded coastline and tropical forests, while the Hilton Garden Inn in Zhangjiajie opens a gateway to China’s dramatic Tianmen Mountain. Meanwhile, travelers to Europe will benefit from the central locations of the Sax Paris and Hilton Turin Centre, both ideal for cultural exploration and short breaks.

These developments are also driving the emergence of new tourism routes. The opening of a DoubleTree in Portrush connects visitors to Northern Ireland’s Giant’s Causeway and the 2025 Open Championship, enhancing regional tourism. In the Dominican Republic, the new Zemi Miches all-inclusive resort encourages exploration beyond Punta Cana’s usual tourist trails, providing eco-conscious luxury near Playa Esmeralda. Such projects reflect an increase of demand for unique off-beat travels by global hotel brands.

The 2025 expansion of Hilton isn't merely to add more rooms but is a move towards flexible, engaging and experiential travel. For the traveler, it expands myriad of options be it adventure, wellness or work-life balance abroad and provides comfort and connectivity into more corners of the world.
