LOT Adds Bangkok, Hanoi and Three European Routes

LOT Polish Airlines is widening its network with five routes serving different trips: long-haul links to Bangkok and Hanoi, winter services to Tromsø and Turin, and a year-round Gdańsk–Paris Orly connection. Four routes start in Warsaw, while Gdańsk gets the only regional launch. The biggest shift is in Asia, where LOT adds direct options that avoid a connection through another European hub.

Five New LOT Routes and When They Fly

• Warsaw–Bangkok: 7 October 2026; year-round; 3 weekly until 25 October, then 5 weekly from 26 October; Boeing 787.
• Warsaw–Tromsø: 1 December 2026–13 February 2027; Tuesdays and Saturdays at 11:35; Boeing 737 MAX 8.
• Warsaw–Turin: 16 January–27 March 2027; Saturdays at 09:00; Boeing 737 MAX 8.
• Warsaw–Hanoi: 31 March 2027; year-round; 3 weekly throughout the year; Boeing 787.
• Gdańsk–Paris Orly: 5 April 2027; year-round; Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 17:00.
• Fares: Not stated in the route announcements.

The practical value differs by route. Bangkok and Hanoi remove the need for many Poland-based travellers to connect elsewhere in Europe before flying to Southeast Asia. Gdańsk–Paris is another clear time-saver: LOT says its current journey involves a Warsaw connection and can take around four hours or longer, while the new non-stop flight is scheduled for about 2 hours 15 minutes. The trade-off is that it replaces Gdańsk–Oslo.

The seasonal routes are timed around specific trips. Tromsø runs through the heart of the Northern Lights season, while Turin operates during the main ski period and gives access to Vialattea and Bardonecchia. Hanoi is a useful base for Ha Long Bay, Ninh Binh and Sapa, while Bangkok opens easier onward travel around Thailand. Paris Orly also gives northern Poland a direct city-break option without routing through Warsaw.

This expansion is most useful for travellers who can reach Warsaw or Gdańsk easily, but the five routes should not be treated as one uniform offer. Bangkok changes frequency after its first weeks, Tromsø and Turin have narrow seasonal windows, and Gdańsk–Paris comes at the cost of the Oslo service. Checking the exact operating period before booking matters more here than simply seeing a destination listed as "new".
