Eurostar passengers travelling between Paris and London on Thursday 25 June should check their train before leaving, as heatwave disruption is set to continue. The operator has already cancelled some services between 22 and 24 June because of adverse weather. Most trains are still running, but the remaining cancellations may affect people with fixed plans or onward connections.

What Eurostar Passengers Should Know

  • Route affected: Paris and London
  • Operator: Eurostar
  • Main date to check: Thursday 25 June
  • Already affected: selected trains from 22 to 24 June
  • Cancelled on 25 June: 15:31 and 20:08 services
  • Reason: adverse weather during the heatwave
  • Options: free exchange, e-voucher or refund
  • Refund timing: up to 28 days

The disruption comes as France and the UK face severe heat alerts. London was forecast to reach 37C on Wednesday, while Paris was expected to hit 39C on Thursday. Eurostar said extreme heat is affecting rail infrastructure and some operations, although the company continues to run the majority of cross-Channel and continental services.

Passengers whose trains are cancelled can change their booking free of charge for another time or date in the same class. They can also request an e-voucher valid for 12 months or apply for a refund. Booking and exchange fees are not included, and refunds may take up to 28 days to process.

The Thursday cancellations matter for people travelling between two major city-break hubs, as well as those connecting to airports, Disneyland Paris, Brussels services or domestic rail links after arrival. Anyone with a hotel check-in, event ticket or onward train should leave more time between bookings and check whether later plans can be changed.

Eurostar is not shutting down the Paris–London route, but the selected cancellations still matter during peak heat. One cancelled afternoon or evening train can knock on to hotel arrivals, airport transfers or onward rail bookings. Passengers due to travel on 25 June should check the Eurostar app or website, carry water and avoid tight same-day connections.
