Loganair, the UK's foremost regional airline, has reintroduced its seasonal service between Newcastle and Newquay, marking the return of the only direct air route between these cities. This summer, travelers will once again enjoy the convenience of flying directly between the northeast and southwest of England.

Starting this month, Loganair will operate flights twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, continuing until the end of October. The route is served by an Embraer 145 aircraft, ensuring a quick, approximately 80-minute journey. This schedule is designed to accommodate travelers looking for flexible, extended breaks at either destination.

The resumed service not only caters to leisure travelers but also bolsters regional connectivity, crucial for tourism and local economies. Luke Lovegrove, Loganair's Chief Commercial Officer, emphasized the significance of this route, celebrating its role in linking two vibrant cultural and tourist hubs.

On one end, Newquay attracts visitors with its stunning beaches and picturesque coastlines, ideal for surfers and holidaymakers seeking a serene escape. On the other, Newcastle offers a rich tapestry of cultural attractions, including theatres, galleries, and music venues, perfect for those craving a dynamic urban experience.

This route's reactivation is part of Loganair’s broader commitment to enhancing UK regional travel, offering additional routes to Exeter, Southampton, Stavanger, and Bergen, thus enriching its network and providing more travel options across the UK and Europe.
