AmaWaterways announced the launch of two new river ships in 2026. The new ship AmaKaia will join AmaDara on the Mekong River, while AmaSofia will cruise the Rhine and Danube rivers in Europe.

The launch of AmaSofia is scheduled for May 24, 2026. This ship will be the company's 24th vessel on European rivers. The first itinerary, called "Magnificent Europe," will last 14 days and travel between Amsterdam and Budapest. The journey will cover three rivers and four countries, with stops at vineyards, small towns, castles, and palaces. In 2026, AmaSofia will complete 31 voyages, including routes such as "Melodies of the Danube," "Romantic Danube," and "Christmas Markets on the Danube."

AmaKaia is planned for its first voyage on August 3, 2026. The routes will cover the ancient cultures of Vietnam and Cambodia. The program includes rickshaw rides, visits to workshops and monasteries, a Buddhist blessing ceremony, and excursions led by local residents. The "Charms of the Mekong" and "Riches of the Mekong" itineraries will offer a unique blend of well-known and lesser-known attractions. AmaKaia will complete 22 voyages in 2026 and up to 38 voyages in 2027.

Travel with AmaWaterways includes dining in several restaurants, including The Chef's Table, unlimited wine, beer, and soft drinks during lunch and dinner, Sip & Sail cocktail hour, various excursions, Wi-Fi, fitness classes, and airport transfers.

AmaWaterways offers cruises on 29 specially designed ships on the rivers of Europe, the Mekong, Chobe, Nile, and Magdalena. The company is known for its hospitality, innovative ship design, and high quality of service.
