Lübeck Gains Direct Link to Munich Hub

The Skyhub PAD initiative has expanded its network, adding Lübeck to its growing list of destinations connected with Munich. The new route is operated by DAT in cooperation with Lufthansa under a codeshare agreement. This allows flights to be booked under a Lufthansa flight number, with onward connections available through Munich’s international hub.
The project, launched in 2025, is backed by private investment and currently supported by 103 stakeholders. It was created to maintain and develop air connections via Paderborn/Lippstadt Airport. With Lübeck now included, the initiative strengthens links between northern Germany and southern regions, while also opening access to a wider global network through Munich.
Flight Schedule Lübeck–Munich
- Tuesday: departure Munich 09:15, return from Lübeck 11:35
- Friday: departure Munich 14:35, return from Lübeck 17:55
- Sunday: departure Munich 14:35, return from Lübeck 17:45
Flights run three times a week, offering a fixed timetable for both directions.
The connection gives access to flights departing from Munich, including long-haul routes and European destinations. Travellers flying out of Lübeck can now reach more cities without using indirect routes through other airports. The set schedule also makes it easier to plan both short trips and longer stays around fixed departure days during the week.
Adding Lübeck brings another regional airport into a wider flight network. A direct link to Munich gives a clearer option when planning trips that include onward flights. It also shows how such initiatives are used to keep regular air connections in place where routes might otherwise be reduced or removed.
