KLM will resume flights between Amsterdam and Tel Aviv on 25 August, bringing the route back after the latest suspension linked to the situation in the Middle East. The service will not operate nonstop: aircraft will make a technical stop in Larnaca, Cyprus, where the crew will stay overnight. KLM says tickets have been available to book since 6 August.

How the Restored Service Will Work

  • Route: Amsterdam Schiphol – Tel Aviv Ben Gurion
  • Airline: KLM
  • Restart date: 25 August 2026
  • Technical stop: Larnaca, Cyprus
  • Frequency: Not specified in KLM’s latest statement
  • Seasonality: No end date announced
  • Booking: Tickets available since 6 August

The Larnaca stop is part of KLM’s operating plan for the restored service rather than a new passenger route. The airline has not announced an end date for the arrangement or confirmed the flight frequency in its latest statement. KLM says it continues to adjust its network according to commercial and operational considerations, so schedules may still change if circumstances in the region develop.

The return restores a KLM link between Amsterdam Schiphol and Tel Aviv, making Israel easier to reach through one of Europe’s largest connecting hubs. Tel Aviv gives visitors access to Jaffa, the Mediterranean coast and museums across the city, while Jerusalem is also reachable for onward trips. Travellers connecting through Amsterdam will once again have a KLM-operated option rather than relying entirely on alternative carriers.

The main detail to watch is the technical stop in Cyprus, which means the journey will take longer than a normal nonstop flight even though the ticket remains for Amsterdam–Tel Aviv travel. Anyone booking should check the latest timetable before departure, as KLM is still reviewing its Middle East network. Entry requirements and official travel advice should also be checked close to the travel date.
