KLM Adds Flexibility for Long-Haul Trips

KLM is temporarily giving passengers more room to change plans on intercontinental flights departing from Amsterdam Schiphol. The airline says tickets on these routes can be changed once without a change fee, aiming the offer at people who want to book distant trips but feel cautious because of global uncertainty.
The policy covers KLM’s long-haul departures from Schiphol and allows one free change per eligible ticket. Travellers still need to check fare conditions, seat availability and any fare difference before rebooking. Alongside the flexibility offer, the airline is running special fares from 9 to 18 June on more than 50 European and intercontinental routes.
Where the Free Change Applies
The temporary campaign includes:
- One free change on eligible long-haul tickets
- Departures from Amsterdam Schiphol
- Special fares available from 9 to 18 June
- More than 50 European and intercontinental routes
- Conditions shown during booking and in My Trip
Passengers should read the exact rules before purchase.
The offer could help with summer and later-year plans from Amsterdam, especially for trips where dates are not fully settled. KLM’s network gives access to destinations across the Americas, Asia, Africa and the Dutch Caribbean, while the European fares may suit shorter breaks or connecting journeys through Schiphol.
The offer gives passengers one free ticket change, but it does not remove all booking conditions. Date changes may still depend on seat availability and any fare difference. Anyone booking under the campaign should check the rules in My Trip before making plans around the extra flexibility.
