LOT Launches Warsaw–Turin Flights for Ski Season
LOT Polish Airlines is opening a direct winter link between Warsaw and Turin, giving skiers a new Saturday option into Piedmont for the 2027 season. The route runs for just over two months and is timed around weekend trips, while Turin itself adds a city-break angle for anyone who does not want to spend every day on the slopes.

LOT sells the route through the website, its app, Contact Center and LOT Travel offices. If your fare includes checked baggage, ski equipment can replace that allowance free of charge within LOT’s limits, up to 23kg and 203cm, but the airline asks customers to arrange this in advance. Turin Airport is also the nearest airport to Vialattea, with Sestriere about 90km away and a transfer taking just under two hours.
Vialattea is the biggest draw for skiers, with 400km of slopes linking resorts such as Sestriere, Sauze d’Oulx and Claviere, plus access to Montgenèvre in France. Bardonecchia adds another 100km of pistes and is around an hour by road from Turin Airport. Those wanting to split the trip between skiing and sightseeing can also spend time in Turin, home to the Egyptian Museum, Baroque architecture and historic cafés.
The once-weekly timetable makes this route more useful for planned ski weekends than flexible short breaks, so accommodation and transfers should be matched to the Saturday flight before booking. Its real advantage is the combination: one direct flight can cover a Turin city stay and several major Alpine areas. Anyone travelling with skis should check baggage space early, as LOT says sports-equipment capacity can be limited by aircraft.
